Calvin Klein’s fall 2013 menswear collection was a sure statement from Creative Director Italo Zucchelli to the rest of the fashion world. Not only was he proving his master use of detailed tailoring, but also creating sophisticated yet wearable clothing for any man.
This collection was based of stylish sportswear twisted with a sense of luxury to make it relatable to the modern men. Monochromatic layering of textures and patterns was a continuous trend throughout the 38 looks. The collection consisted dominantly of dark tones such as black, burgundy, navy and grey. To complement the minimalist colour palate were textural fabrics, quilting and embossing effects and black combat boots. Great structured coats, intricately detailed sweaters, tailored pants and simplistic blazers create a sophisticated flare to the casual essence. Puffy vests and fashionable sweaters bring a street-style vibe to this well known worldwide design house.
Zucchelli successfully designed a must have collection with a constant mood. Every structural and detailing characteristic portrayed the Calvin Klein esthetic with top fall trends for menswear.
