Fashion in the Fast Lane – Fendi s/s 2015

Drawing inspiration from Fendi’s new Roman headquarters in the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana the configuration f088b1c8ef8bba7aadb6dc0f5e8c40f6was mimicked for the shows set. An applaud for craftsmanship as this collection is one to be celebrated. Known for pushing the boundaries of new technology enhanced fabrics and materials, this collection incorporated inset strips of fabric without stitching which created a dreamy seamless effect. Life in the fast lane was an evident essence for Fendi’s spring collection.

Leather eyeliner accents in shades of blue caught our eye as if the luxurious interior in a Ferrari. Light feather like accents of organdies drifted down the catwalk and waterproofing fur with a perorated plastic like film gave extra shimmer when light caught models strut.

It was all about the new generation moving at full speed into the spotlight hence denim on the runway, which is a first for Fendi. Slouchy pants for the causal chic girl and skirts hiked high for the sophisticated stylish new-comer made this collection easily visualized as wardrobe essentials. Fendi may have defined the modern ‘cool’ for spring as the flower of life and uniqueness- the orchid  is embroidered and used as hair detailing bringing a precious subtle softness to the fast-paced girl on the constant move.

As for the tough-girl touch, accessories of woven leather, orchid detailed hair pieces and the most drool-worthy strapped sandals with eye catching embellishments. Handbags were not toned down as they came in a range of sizes for any occasion and statement.
