Keep Calm and Carry Small – Designers Go Snack-Size with Handbags

Seen all over the runways for the season, Designers have decided to lighten things up with the trend in miniature handbags and carry-ons. Chanel showcased their signature chainlink purses in an assortment of pastel summer colours for their Resort 2016 69f2893a6dabfcc77bb3b8b52cdb3da9collection including the hottest new accessory – the mini-hatbox! Raf Simons, Creative Director for Dior also embarked on the miniature adoration and showed mini bucket-bags with fascinating patch-like designs in his 2016 Resort collection.

Fendi obviously added some elements of fur and florals in their Resort 2016 line which complemented their current s/s 2015 collection. The handbag might be small, but we are loving the giant pompom keyring that is almost as large as the bag itself!

Moschino incorporated mini bucket-style bags as well as purses that were cohesive to the looks from the collection. It was all about statements and bold colours this season for Moschino and the bags were just as noticed as the clothes – especially this white draw-string bag with the logo in a telephone dial.

Mulberry brought forth the perfect travel purse that just fits a passport, some cash and maybe a mini candy bar. The bag may be of small size, but coming from Mulberry expect high quality from this brown leather bag with gold closure locks.

Louis Vuitton downsized their iconic monogrammed luggage for this Resort season, but we love it just as much…if not more! With fun tropical prints contrasting the brown and tan logo, Louis Vuitton reinvented their luggage once again, but this time snack-sized.
