Mango, one of Europe’s most global fashion brands, presents a spring summer capsule collection in collaboration with renowned designer Victoria Beckham, whose eponymous label has become synonymous with wearable yet sophisticated ease. A perfect blend of classic British luxury, Victoria Beckham’s immaculate style and Mango’s contemporary design, the collaboration comes at an iconic moment in Mango’s history and celebrates the two brands’ shared values of style, quality and femininity.
Inspired by the film La Piscine (1969) starring Jane Birkin, the collection takes its cues from 70s style at its most sophisticated to propose a versatile day-to-night wardrobe. At its core, impeccably cut tailoring, feminine lingerie dresses, knitwear and accessories — timeless pieces, set to become the stars of this season and many more to come.
Crafted from natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and silk of the highest quality, wardrobe staples are reinterpreted as clean, luxe pieces in a neutral palette of white, black, ecru, butter with touches of blue, peach or mauve pink throughout.
Tailoring is the cornerstone of the collection, with perfectly cut patterns on blazers, sharp shoulders and waists, paired with extra-long trousers in relaxed flare cuts, an iconic Victoria Beckham signature. A selection of flowing, slip dresses with bias cuts and outer seams or snail ruffles also feature throughout the collection, as do themes of transparency and lingerie-inspired details.
Photographed by David Sims, styled by Emmanuelle Alt, and starring models, Anok Yai and Freya Nutter, the campaign reflects the collection’s design inspiration with powerful images that center around the crystalline blue of a pristine swimming pool. The latest in a series of collaborations with other brands, artists and talents such as SIMONMILLER, Camille Charrière and Pernille Teisbaek, the Victoria Beckham x Mango capsule will coincide with Mango’s 40th anniversary, making it a genuine, bold, inspiring and celebratory statement destined to the entire Mango community.
