Vancouver’s Truvelle is ushering in 2027 with a collection that leans harder into texture, movement, and personal styling — while staying true to the effortless sensibility the label has built its name on.
The bridal house, part of the Oremony design group, describes the new line as a more expressive take on its signature romanticism. Shimmering and abstract floral organzas bring lightness to the gowns, while dimensional jacquards and sculpted basque and drop waistlines rework familiar bridal silhouettes into something fresh. Dramatic trains and fuller skirts add volume, but the collection balances that drama with practicality: detachable sleeves, scarves, and other styling pieces let brides adjust their look throughout the day.
That modularity extends to accessories as well, with the new Form and Muse bags extending Truvelle’s design language beyond the gown itself.
Founder and Creative Director Gaby Bayona says the goal was to add richness without losing the wearability Truvelle is known for — “the bride should never disappear underneath” the dress, as she put it, even as the pieces get more elaborate.
Perhaps the most notable part of the story isn’t on the runway at all — it’s in the workroom. Every Truvelle gown is still designed and handmade at Oremony’s 8,500-square-foot atelier in Vancouver, with pattern-making, cutting, and sewing all done under one roof at a time when most fashion production has moved to mass manufacturing overseas.
