We’re about to usher in the Year of the Dragon, the only mythical animal in the Chinese zodiac, symbolizing power, nobility, honour, luck, and success. To mark the occasion, Mott 32 Vancouver will present a limited-time Lunar New Year special menu — a collaboration between Mott 32 Group Executive Chef Lee Man Sing and Head Chef He Hong Wei of the Vancouver location. Thoughtfully curated to commemorate the auspicious year ahead, the exquisite menu features dishes that represent the traditional blessings of the Lunar New Year.

A multi-award-winning food concept created by Maximal Concepts, Mott 32 is a testament to modern Hong Kong, seamlessly blending Chinese culture and philosophy with contemporary recipes refined through generations. Mott 32 Vancouver is honoured to host diners from February 9 – 24 to usher in a prosperous and extraordinary Year of the Dragon, during both lunch and dinner services. Guests can choose to order dishes à la carte or opt to experience the opulent feast as a set menu.

In line with traditional Hong Kong culture, dishes include Lunar New Year must-haves such as Whole Lobster & Abalone (Lo Hei) Salad, Bird’s Nest in Supreme Soup, and the iconic Dried Oyster Bean Curd Rolls. Each of the eight dishes on the special menu has been carefully chosen to represent aspects of good fortune, good health, luck, and prosperity for the year ahead. To round out the dining experience, the menu can be paired with featured cocktails and wines.

The Dragon holds a special place in Chinese culture. The celebration — which kicks off on Lunar New Year Eve on February 9, and culminates with the Lantern Festival on February 24 — is a joyous time, starting off a thrilling year for Mott 32 and their guests in Vancouver and around the globe.

Mott 32, introduced in 2014 in Hong Kong by Maximal Concepts, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Vancouver marked Mott 32’s first foray into the North American market, opening in 2017. Excitingly, 2024 – and the Year of the Dragon – marks a significant expansion for Mott 32, with the planned opening of two new locations in Toronto and Scottsdale.
