  • 50ml Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment
  • 150ml fresh pressed apple juice
  • Add to a tumbler glass filled with ice and stir

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old gains its distinctive character from maturation in two different wood cask types, American Oak ex-bourbon barrels, and Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The traditional casks soften and add delicate character to the single malt scotch, while the sherry wood imparts depth and fullness of flavour. The final few months of maturation in The Balvenie’s tuns allows the rich characteristics to marry harmoniously. Finished in deeply charred new American Oak casks, the liquid delivers a rich, sweet and vibrant flavour to this award-winning single malt scotch. The 14 year old single malt boasts bold notes of oak and a sweet kick of velvety caramel which pair beautifully with warming spices of pumpkin pie, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Enjoy it on its own or with dessert for an added depth of flavour.

COCKTAIL: A Pick Of Plums

  • 2 oz Glenfiddich 14 Year Old
  • 1 oz Plum Simple Syrup*
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 3 Dashes Lavender Bitters

In a shaker, combine all the ingredients and give this a vigorous shake. Double Strain into chilled coupe glass.

*To make the Plum Simple Syrup, cut 30 g of dried plums in half, place into a small bowl with 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup boiled water. Give this a stir until sugar is dissolved. Let this sit until it reaches room temperature before straining. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
