Ladurée Canada welcomes the Year of the Dragon with the exciting release of its exquisite Lunar New Year macaron box and Evidence cake. The collectible boxes, adorned with intricate dragon detailing, celebrate the holiday with traditional red and gold colours, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. The special Lunar New Year Evidence cake will debut in Toronto this year, courtesy of its new pastry lab, which opened last summer.
Ladurée’s Lunar New Year Macaron Box
Boxes can be selectively filled with eight macarons ($45.00) and gold leaf embellishments can be added to one side of each macaron for $3.30 per piece. Choose from an assortment of Ladurée’s classic or specialty flavours like salted caramel, rose, pistachio, orange blossom, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, Marie-Antoinette, lemon and blackcurrant violet. Ladurée’s famous macaron pyramids, a suitable party centre-piece, are available to purchase during the holiday with both custom and classic flavours from its Vancouver and Toronto locations.
Ladurée’s Evidence cake
Courtesy of Ladurée’s state-of-the-art Canadian pastry laboratories, its limited edition Evidence cake for Lunar New Year is available starting February 6 at Toronto’s Yorkdale Tea Salon and Vancouver’s Robson Street Tea Salon. This special dessert by Ladurée’s executive pastry chef Alexandra Launay, hailing from Paris, is made with a red chocolate base filled with yuzu and tangerine cremeaux and madeleine biscuit, topped with a delicate coconut mousse and decorated with a gold leaf and shiny red glaze.
These exquisite offerings will be available at Yorkdale’s Tea Salon and Exchange Tower locations in Toronto and its Robson Street Tea Salon in Vancouver.
