Pinot Noir Day is upon us and in celebration of this very important beverage, we’ve gathered Dandurand’s best-selling bottles that highlights one of the world’s most popular red wines.

Erath 2020 Oregon Pinot Noir

Founded by Dick Erath over 40 years ago, Erath wines are cultivated in the Dundee Hills of Oregan. Known for their Pinot Noir grapes, Erath’s 2020 Oregon Pinot Noir is a fruit-forward, fan favourite. With scrumptious aromas of cola, dark cherry, cassis and a waft of mandarin orange, this ruby-coloured wine is an extremely versatile choice for meals.

Ideal Pairings: grilled salmon, Ahi tuna, poultry, pork and red meats

Leyda Single Vineyard Cahuil Pinot Noir

Leyda is an award-winning vineyard located in the Ledya Valley, on the west side of the Chilean Coastal Range. Their Single Vineyard Cahuil Pinot Noir is a nice ruby coloured, medium-bodied wine. Complex and earthy with a strong, spicy character, this wine offers notes of acidic red fruits like raspberries and cherries. Delicately smoky with tobacco notes, it is creamy with a velvety mouthfeel and a long persistent finish.

Ideal Pairings: Goat’s cheese, baked polenta with wild mushrooms

Leyda Pinot Noir Rosé

A different take on the Pinot Noir grapes is Leyda’s Pinot Noir Rosé. With a bright, brilliant colour and excellent fruit on the nose, this bottle displays intense notes of red fruits like strawberries and cherries combined with citrus notes. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced with a pleasant concentration.

Ideal Pairings: Grilled prawns, goat’s cheese

Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir California 2019

Known for their quality wines using sustainable practices,Trinity Oaks plants a tree for every bottle of wine sold. What better excuse does one need? Save the world, buy a bottle of wine. As the name suggests, this bottle of Pinot Noir hails from California and has strong aromas of juicy berries complemented by ripe cherry flavours. Medium-bodied with herbal notes and hints of violet, the Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir leaves a smooth, toasty oak finish in your mouth.

Ideal Pairings: baked beans, hearty stews, mushroom tofu salads

Known to be an elegant, lighter bodied wine, Pinot Noirs are made from black-skinned grapes that are notoriously difficult to grow. They are one of the oldest grapes and were cultivated originally in Burgundy. This pale-coloured, translucent wine ranges from light to medium bodied and is well-loved for its complexity and longevity.
