The arrival of crisp morning air, cozy evenings and changing foliage means that fall is officially here and Thanksgiving is fast approaching! In anticipation of the holiday, we’ve curated a list of Thanksgiving and autumnal events offered at Fairmont properties across Canada. 

Whether it’s an immersive retreat, complete with an indulgent Thanksgiving meal and outdoor fun, or a delicious Turkey To-Go, these properties have something for everyone! 

Fairmont Pacific Rim (Vancouver)

Indulge in an exclusive Thanksgiving Brunch at Botanist, available from 11am to 2pm, Saturday, October 8 through Monday, October 10. Executive Chef Hector Laguna’s delectable three-course brunch menu includes: a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a hand-crafted cocktail from the Botanist Bar; a carvery selection featuring oven-roasted lamb leg, prime rib and ham; plus morning favourites like eggs benedict, salmon tartine and hand-cut beef tartar. Each guest will also be offered a Maple Loaf as a parting gift to share at home with family and loved ones.

Fairmont Waterfront (Vancouver) 

Let Fairmont Waterfront’s esteemed ARC Restaurant take care of your Thanksgiving cravings with its decadent bottomless brunch, featuring a selection of the restaurant’s renowned classic dishes with the addition of a delicious turkey skillet. This offering will be available October 9 & 10 and reservations are required. Imagery available here

In the evening, let ARC Restaurant handle the cooking (and the clean-up!) with a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from Executive Chef Mike Pagnacco. This family-style feast, served in the restaurant, features squash bisque, kale salad, classic roast turkey and all the trimmings, and pumpkin-spiced sticky toffee pudding. Vegetarian options are also available. Reservations are required and can be booked online for dinners October 9 & 10.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (Vancouver)

Join Notch8 on October 9 for a delicious Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet overlooking Vancouver’s skyline at the historic, newly-renovated 15th-floor venue The Roof. Guests can partake in sweet and savoury brunch favourites, a chef-attended carving station and decadent desserts created by the in-house pastry shop. For dinner, Notch8 also has an indulgent three-course traditional turkey dinner available October 8-10 from 5:30 to 10pm. Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s famous Thanksgiving Turkey To Go offering is back as well, with an impressive 8-10 person holiday dinner from Executive Chef David Baarschers (available October 9 only).

Fairmont Vancouver Airport (Vancouver) 

Whether you’re looking to stay in or have a night out, Fairmont Vancouver Airport has options for everyone. Those looking to avoid the hassle of holiday cooking (and cleaning) can select Globe@YVR  Restaurant’s Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go option for 8-10 guests, which features a delightful Fraser Valley slow roasted whole turkey and traditional side dishes. For more intimate gatherings, the Thanksgiving Dinner for Two To-Go is an excellent option. For pick up on October 8, 9, or 10, either option must be ordered online by noon on October 4. 

For a night on the town, consider visiting Globe@YVR for its signature Thanksgiving plate, featuring BC cider brined local turkey breast alongside a delicious selection of sides. Seasonal desserts will also be available for Thanksgiving weekend. Enjoy your meal while you admire the beautiful North Shore Mountains and the bustling excitement of YVR’s active runways! Fairmont Chateau Whistler (Whistler)

From October 7-10, the grandest of Thanksgiving holiday celebrations returns to Fairmont Chateau Whistler with signature activities including a Scarecrow Scramble, Virtual Turkey Derby, Pumpkin Carving Contest, and the ever-scrumptious holiday brunch at Wildflower Restaurant. For guests looking to avoid the stress of cooking, Portobello’s Turkey Feast TO GO is a real crowd-pleaser.

Fairmont Empress (Victoria) 

Experience the royal treatment this Thanksgiving at Canada’s Castle on the Coast: Fairmont Empress. Taking inspiration from the Pacific Northwest region and its local ingredients, Chef Morgan Wilson and his team will offer a variety of grand Thanksgiving dining options, including the beloved Turkey to Go Package, complete with seamless ordering and pickup. Turkey to Go comes with all the traditional fixings ready to heat and serve for 10. Order by noon on October 5 for pickup October 9 between 12:00-5:00 pm. To order, visit here.

At Q restaurant, a full a la carte menu will be available October 7 & 8 with the addition of a special three-course Thanksgiving menu. On October 9 & 10, a festive table d’hôte menu, featuring a selection of expertly curated dishes, will be available in addition to a Sunday roast on October 9. Reservations can be made online. For a nightcap or pre-dinner cocktail, guests can slip into Q Bar to experience the hotel’s full menu over the Thanksgiving long weekend. Reservations are highly recommended.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (Jasper)

Available October 7-9, the Thanksgiving Weekend Offer at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge features a cornucopia of activities to leave guests feeling fed, thankful and refreshed. Families can take a historic journey across Lac Beauvert on the Voyageur Canoe Tour, get creative with Pumpkin Carving, cozy up by the fire for an Outdoor Movie & S’mores, embark on Scavenger Hunt, and more. After working up an appetite, guests and their loved ones can also enjoy all the warmth of a homemade Thanksgiving meal with Orso Trattoria’s Thanksgiving Sunday Brunch or Thanksgiving Dinner.

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise (Lake Louise)

From picturesque surroundings to glorious feasts and special family moments, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise has curated the grandest of festive celebrations to help families make the most of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Activities will include Art In The Mountains, Pajama Parties and Crafts You’ll Be Thankful For, as well as Mixology Experiences and Wine Tastings for the grown ups. Guests can also indulge in Fairview Bar & Restaurant’s Thanksgiving Feast, available October 7-10 from 5 to 11pm, featuring a seasonally-curated three-course special menu that will have everyone giving thanks.

Fairmont Banff Springs (Banff) 

For a relaxing fall escape with loved ones, guests can turn to the curated Thanksgiving offerings from Fairmont Banff Springs, the “Castle in the Rockies.” This year, the hotel’s Thanksgiving-themed culinary specialties include a table d’hôte menu, available from October 7-10, and a Sunday brunch buffet on October 9, both in The Vermillion Room

Similarly, the upper Rundle Bar will update its iconic afternoon tea experience with specialty holiday twists while STOCK Food & Drink will serve sandwiches and pastries featuring seasonal flavours. Both will be available October 7-10.

Beyond indulging in the hotel’s fine cuisine, guests can participate in holiday crafts in the Gatehouse Rotunda and commemorate their stay by taking complimentary family photos at the outdoor terrace, which will feature an autumnal scene, available October 8 & 9.

Fairmont Hotel Macdonald (Edmonton) 

For an unforgettable and festive culinary experience, guests are invited to celebrate Thanksgiving this year at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald with a selection of grand holiday meals. This year, the Harvest Room will offer a five-course table d’hôte dinner from October 8-10. Those looking to enjoy an elevated meal at home can opt for Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go, featuring either Turkey or Prime Rib, fit to serve up to eight guests and available throughout the festive season from October 7 through January 8. 

Guests who prefer celebrating earlier in the day can visit the hotel’s grand Empire Ballroom for a Thanksgiving Sunday Brunch Buffet on October 9.

Fairmont Winnipeg (Winnipeg) 

Embrace the chilly fall weather in the comfort of Fairmont Winnipeg’s Velvet Glove Restaurant, where guests can cozy up while enjoying delectably curated Thanksgiving High Tea. Reservations are required and can be made here for Sundays through October 23.

For home cooks who’d like to take a break from dishes this year, the hotel’s Turkey To-Go is an excellent option whether you’d like a meal for one, or a turkey dinner for the whole family. For a mid-day feast featuring fresh, seasonal dishes, inquire about the two-course Turkey Luncheon Meal To Go. Available October 7-9, reservations are required for both lunch and dinner. 

Fairmont Royal York (Toronto) 

Guests seeking a variety of culinary options this season should look no further than Fairmont Royal York and its esteemed institutions: REIGN Restaurant, CLOCKWORK Champagne & Cocktails and Library Bar. 

This year, REIGN Restaurant will serve Sunday brunch, featuring a pantry buffet, a main dish of the guest’s choice and a selection of sweet treats from the dessert table. Reservations can be made online. For a Thanksgiving To-Go option, Executive Chef jW Foster and his culinary team can prepare a warm holiday feast of your choice (either turkey or ham) fully ready to serve. Simply order by noon, October 5 (or while quantities last) for pick up on October 9.

For those interested in participating in the timeless tradition of afternoon tea, CLOCKWORK Champagne & Cocktails will serve delectable pastries, scones, and sandwiches alongside a specialty selection of quality teas (images here). This service will be available on weekends. Throughout the week, whether you’re interested in lunch, dinner, or simply a delicious speciality drink, guests can slip into Library Bar and explore the famed cocktail den’s fine array of offerings, including its signature Birdbath Martini. 

Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu (La Malbaie) 

Thrill seekers can spend an action-packed Thanksgiving weekend at the NordExpé Can-Am Off Road Event. Featuring ATV, Side-by-Side and X3 off road tests, guests can find this family-friendly spectacle at the NordExpé Experience Center located within Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu.
