LA-based clothing collection from Vancouver native launches first full-piece collection today

LA-based athleisure line, Friends with Animals, launched its first full-piece collection today, featuring 90s-inspired items with whimsical prints and graphics, inspired by Vancouver’s mountainous landscape and coastline.

Vancouver native, Tavia Bonetti, is the brainchild and Founder of Friends with Animals. After high school, Tavia left Vancouver to pursue a career in modelling. This allowed her to live in cities across the world, spending time in India, Montreal, Miami and LA, where she eventually settled and has been living for the past six years. Tavia envisioned channelling her knowledge of the modelling industry and passion for textiles into a clothing line — creating merriment between the outdoors and her sense of fashion. Taking inspiration from her hometown of Vancouver, Tavia created the outdoor athleisure line, lovingly dubbing it Friends with Animals — a true reflection of herself. “It’s me and everything I love,” says Tavia. “It’s an outlet to express what makes me happy through my clothes and style.”

The first drop of the Fall 2020 collection, the Camp Collection launches today and takes inspiration from summer camp. The collection features a 90s-themed spread of items including the ‘no doubt’ inspired FWA Bucket Hat, the Forest Crewneck and the Forest Sweatpant, the NB Letterman Jacket and many more.

On September 29, Tavia will launch the second drop of the collection, the Fiore Collection. The Fiore Collection features playful floral prints and urban graphics including the Truck Tee, the FWA Logo Hoodie and the Fiore Bucket Hat.

The Friends with Animals Fall 2020 Camp Collection is available for purchase in Canada and the U.S. starting September 22 through friendswithanimals.online, with the Fiore Collection launching on September 29.
