Topshop still can’t get enough of Kate Moss

The iconic Kate Moss turned 40 this year, just as Topshop turned 50. With a combination of 90 years between the two of them, what better way to celebrate by putting out another collaboration.

Topshop, the British high street store that opened 50 years ago, has grown to become a massive clothing empire that many look to for trends at reasonable prices. They now have stores worldwide, the second largest being the Hudson Bay in Vancouver’s Pacific Centre.

This will be Kate’s 14th collection with the clothing Kate Mossempire. Like her previous collaborations, the pieces were inspired by her own closet. And who wouldn’t want to dress like the supermodel?

The collection is quintessential Kate Moss, which is ideal for Topshop shoppers alike. It is a greatest hits album of the models own clothing.

The line has four design themes within it, all focused on the model’s fashion sense. Balearic Dressing, the bohemian chic part of the collection is perfect for this time of year, with festival season in full swing. Pajama Dressing, the go to comfortable trend of the moment, has pieces you can mix and match depending on how far you’re willing to go with this trend. The two other themes are Cocktail Hour and Tailoring Noir, both collections that are perfect for nights out on the town, whether in London, Victoria or Vancouver.

The collection is slightly more expensive than her previous ones, however, the clothes are still at a reasonable price point, and especially in comparison to the original pieces Kate would have worn.

One of the strongest pieces of the collection, which there are many of, was the peasant top. This top gives off the vibe of the true haute hippie style that Kate is most well known for. Paired with skinny jeans and heels for a night out or with a pair of cut offs for a festival, both outfits are very a la Kate Moss. Don’t forget to pair those denim cut offs with her signature pair of Hunter boots for a Glastonbury look.

The collaboration has been out since April 30 and is available online at: http://www.topshop.com/ or at select Hudson Bay stores across Canada, including Vancouver.
