The recent rise of political unease in North America has spurred an uptick in local support for Canadian brands and products. New Zealand jeweller Michael Hill is tapping into this trend with the launch of a Canadian diamond collection featuring natural diamonds of verified origin from Canada.
Canada is the third-largest provider of rough diamonds worldwide, making up over $2.21 billion in valuation, and providing a responsible and consciously sourced option due to Canada’s stringent environmental standards. Michael Hill’s new range of diamond solitaire rings and stud earrings are crafted in 18k gold, using ethically sourced and high-quality diamonds from Canada’s Northwest Territories (where most of Canada’s diamond mines are currently located). The new collection will arrive in stores and online this upcoming Thursday, February 27th.
