Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar has been honoured for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2024 Restaurant Awards, celebrating the world’s best restaurants for wine. Additionally, Wild Blue offers two new ways to experience its celebrate venue.
WORLD’S BEST FOR WINE
In only its second year of operation, Wild Blue, under the expert guidance of Wine Director Kathryn Woods, has received the prestigious Best of Award of Excellence. This award highlights the restaurant’s dedication to a comprehensive and diverse wine list, featuring excellent breadth across multiple wine-growing regions and significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards program is the world’s only initiative focused exclusively on restaurant wine service.
A SPIRITED ART INSTALLATION
Embracing the spirit of community, Wild Blue’s bar recently celebrated local athletes and photographers with the unveiling of a new art activation. Guests can now admire a stunning installation of action photos of prolific athletes, captured by renowned local photographers, illuminated along the fridge fronts of the bar. A special menu highlights each image, sharing the unique backstory behind it.
AL FRESCO AT WILD BLUE
With summer now in full swing, visitors to Whistler can enjoy a fresh, seasonal menu at Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar. New signature summer items include the Snap Peas appetizer with miso sesame dressing, nori, puffed grains, and yuzu, and the Harvest entrée featuring rosti potato, black truffles, lentils, summer vegetables, and nut ‘butter’ sauce. Guests can also delight in dining al fresco on Wild Blue’s 60-person garden patio.
“Wild Blue is honoured to be recognized as a place of excellence, celebration and community,” stated Neil Henderson, Partner and Restaurant Director, Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar. “We strive to create an environment where our guests can enjoy exceptional food, wine, and art that reflect the vibrant spirit of Whistler. Our team is dedicated to making every visit a memorable experience, whether celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying the company of friends and family.”
