After nearly a decade of West Coast vibes and good times in Blood Alley, Tacofino Gastown is bringing the era to a fitting end with a final weekend of celebrations on Saturday August 17th and Sunday August 18th.
On Saturday night, Tacofino will once again team up with local hip-hop culture builders RUTS, along with some special surprise guests, to play an eclectic mix of rap and party tunes for what promises to be one last legendary Gastown Saturday night.
Then, on Sunday, August 18th, Tacofino will bring the curtain down on ten years of great Gastown days and nights with a party from 3:00pm-9:00pm featuring tunes spun by Gastown staff and alumni. The passionate and dedicated team has been the foundation of any success that Tacofino Gastown had, so they get to choose the tunes on the last day with current member Saem playing from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Gastown alumni Lola Phyne on the decks from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
“It’s been an amazing ten years for Tacofino Gastown, and we’re very sad to be leaving,” said Tacofino Managing Partner Gino Di Domenico. “But we never turn down the chance to have a big party, and we’re looking forward to celebrating this journey with our friends, neighbors and team who have all made this ride so great.” On Saturday, RUTS will play from 7-11, with service on the patio ending at 10pm and Sunday’s final day of service will run from 11:30pm to 9:00pm with food and drink specials all day.
