With inspiration from late 60s early 70s smoulder – our NICHE team commenced to collaborate on our 70s Window Dressing photoshoot. Think big hair, natural beauty with a twist, denim, suede, bright patterns and a touch of MadMen, a groovy era documented with modern and vintage clothing and a kick of original NICHE style. Hair and makeup took place inside Lavish Salon on Herald Street, Victoria. The team at Lavish welcomed us and had a spacious set-up for their hair team to work on the models mid-century hairstyles while the makeup/beauty team could set up their Burberry products.
Alexandra Forman and Katrina Chapman were our makeup artists for this shoot and enjoyed working with Burberry’s new spring 2015 collection. Stunning lip colours and new blue and nude palettes complemented the mood of the shoot on our three models from Coultish Management – Kiah, Jordyn and Brendan.
The photoshoot took place right next door to Lavish at The Fabulous Find, a mid-century modern furniture store with breathtaking selections. All clothing for the photo shoot was selected from Maven’s Vintage (a little further down on Herald Street), The Patch Clothing, sourced vintage and our clothing partner – Judith & Charles with their new S/S 2015 collection. NICHE had the pleasure of using accessories and extra décor elements from Lacoste’s new bedding line from Hudson’s Bay and handbags from Angel Reinares and Robert Matthew.
