Fashion designer and former Project Runway star, Johnathan Kayne, had multiple designs strutting down the 51st CMA Awards red carpet. Celebrities wearing Kayne’s dresses included Reba McEntire, Meghan Linsey, Lindsey Ell, the wives of Locash, and Pam Tillis.

Reba wore two of Kayne’s dresses throughout the night. Her first look was a Johnathan Kayne by Joshua McKinley design for her red carpet appearance. Later in the evening, she changed into another Kayne gown before joining Kelsea Ballerini during a performance on stage.

Kayne, who has been dubbed as a “genius designer’” by Heidi Klum, first gained traction regarding his custom designs back in 2003 after establishing a formal wear boutique in Norman, Oklahoma. Devoted pageant clients put his custom designs under the spotlight, strengthening his focus on the fit, silhouette, flow, and movement of the designs.

Kayne was selected to compete on Project Runway Season 3 in 2006 where we placed in the Top 5 designers. It was his charming personality and eye for glamour that helped him gain recognition and achieve success within the fashion industry. Kayne, who is well known for his dress line, award winning shoe line and celebrity status has appeared on E!, ABC, NBC, Bravo, and The Style Network. He also starred on the TLC special, Gown Crazy, in 2009.

Kayne continues to design the Johnathan Kayne dress and shoe collection, while serving as a fashion expert for Country Weekly, Zuus Country, and NStyle Country. Kayne has styled many celebrity clients including Jennifer Lopez, Dolly Parton, Marianda Lambert, Martina McBride, and Lee Brice.
