The Cup (formerly Deighton Cup) announced today that Toronto-based k-os will headline the annual summer event at Hastings Racecourse, performing on the Botanist Live Stage on Saturday, July 23, 2022. k-os will play a throwback rap set with his top hits from the early 2000s. Vancouver-based DJ and electronic dance music producer Felix Cartal will also perform with a DJ set showcasing his latest album, Expensive Sounds for Nice People. The Cup is set to be an iconic day for attendees to dress to the nines while enjoying live music, local art, the best food, craft cocktails, as well as some rousing derby action.
Other notable features of the event include the Style Stakes competition, presented by Orbiiit which offers a $10,000 cash prize and the honour of becoming a judge at next year’s event. The competition is also sponsored by local fine fashion brands Surmesur, Capelleria Bertacchi and Mine & Yours Luxury Resale.
The Cup will also host special pop-ups including a mid-century modern Cigar Lounge pouring Alfred Giraud Whisky, a Mint Julep Experience that will feature four different bourbons with drinks crafted by four local restaurants led by The Cup Cocktail Director Alex Black, a Rosé Garden serving VieVité Rosé and featuring food from Salty’s Lobster Shack, Arc Iberico, Kaviari and Risotto Party Pop-Up, a new concept by Chef Alessandro Vianello.
