Alexander Wang pays homage to his consumers by giving them what they truly want – an all black collection. Wang was inspired by the lifestyle of his target customer and created a line not solemnly for his 
own design desires, but for the excitement to be created by the ones purchasing the line.
Injected with attitude beyond description, Wang styled the collection with inspiration from heavy-metal artists, Goths and Japanese Lolitas. Playing off his love for utilitarian attributes in a simplistic ready-to-wear vibe, Wang stayed true to his brand and customers to create the most retail-friendly collection to hit the stores we’ve seen shown on the runway in quite some time.
Truly fit for those keeping up on their street style game, it’s time to grunge it up the Wang way this fall. Stomping into fall with his platform heels and hiking boots- any summer romantic essence will be gone with the Wang bad-girl crushing all grounds.
Not only a heavy look, but a heavy feel – Wang used tough, weighted materials and textures to create for the ultimate ‘don’t mess with me chic’. Cable-knitted wool, aforementioned velvet, sleek shiny synthetics and chain-mail mesh were all manipulated into the knockout collection.
