On December 31st, welcome 2019 with friends and family at Aura Restaurant in Whistler’s Nita Lake Lodge. Guests are invited to enjoy an innovative 11-course tasting menu highlighted by local BC ingredients, prepared by talented Chef James Olberg.

Menu highlights include: oysters paired with Veuve Clicquot to begin; Chef Olberg’s favourite Braised Short Rib with marcona almonds soubise, pickled cipollini onions and dark chocolate sauce, paired with Kelowna’s Painted Rock Merlot; warming porcini mushroom soup; apple-brined pheasant breast with chestnut purée, confit cranberries, walnut crumble and apple gastric, accompanied by Tantalus Pinot Noir; a 6oz AAA Angus Beef Tenderloin with french beans, sautéed chanterelles, heirloom carrots, périgord truffle gratin dauphinois, cauliflower puree and whiskey shallot jus, paired with Napa’s Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon; and to finish, three sumptuous desserts including Lemon Curd Cannoli paired with La Stella Muscato d’Osoyoos.
The 11-course New Year’s Eve tasting menu, including wine pairings, costs $299 (plus tax and gratuity). Spaces are very limited so early bookings are recommended.
